Terms of Service

These terms cover the Shulker launcher, the Shulker in-game client mod and this website ("Shulker"). By downloading or using Shulker you agree to them.

1. What Shulker is

Shulker is a free launcher and client mod for Minecraft: Java Edition. It is an unofficial, independent project. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

2. You must own Minecraft

Shulker is only for people who own a licence for Minecraft: Java Edition, bought or through Game Pass. You sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the game, and Shulker checks that licence with Mojang before you can play. Offline accounts unlock only after such an account has been added.

Your use of Minecraft is governed by the Minecraft End User License Agreement, the Minecraft Usage Guidelines and the Microsoft Services Agreement. You must not use Shulker to play without a licence, to get around licence checks, or in any way those terms don't allow.

3. Your account

You sign in on Microsoft's own sign-in page. Shulker never sees or stores your password. You are responsible for your Microsoft account and for keeping the computer you use Shulker on secure.

4. Acceptable use

5. Third-party software and content

Shulker downloads software and content from other providers: Minecraft game files from Mojang, Java from Eclipse Adoptium, mod loaders from Fabric and Forge, and mods you choose from Modrinth. Each is covered by its own licence and terms, and we are not responsible for third-party mods or services.

6. Updates and availability

We may change, update or stop offering Shulker or any of its features at any time. Features that depend on third-party services (such as Microsoft sign-in, Modrinth or Discord) may stop working if those services change.

7. No warranty

Shulker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that Shulker will be error-free or that it won't affect your game files, worlds or settings. Keep backups of anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Shulker developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, worlds, accounts or profits, arising from your use of Shulker. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Stopping

You can stop using Shulker at any time by uninstalling it. Section 7 and 8 continue to apply after you stop.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Shulker after a change means you accept the updated terms.
